My Perfect Valentines Day

Unlike most girls in a relationship, valentines day has never been up there as something I want to make a big deal of. I mean don’t get me wrong, if my boyfriend was to surprise me with flowers and a nice slap up meal I wouldn’t turn it down, I’d be made up.

But I just think that there’s so many other ways you can celebrate valentines day without spending an arm and a leg.

My boyfriend and I have never really celebrated valentines day and this will be our third one together. Although, for our first one he bought me tickets to Chester Zoo, which was a pretty cool present, and last year he had a broken foot so we didn’t do anything haha.

The perfect valentines day for me would be a Marks & Spencer dine in for two meal deal, a bottle of wine and some romcom movies. Or full blow romantic and make your other half sit through them, that’s always fun.

So I’ve decided to put together a list of my all time fave movies that would be perfect for cuddling up on the couch to watch. Most of which, happen to be on Netflix.

  • The Duff
  • Titanic
  • Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging
  • Clueless
  • Bride Wars
  • What’s Your Number?
  • Safe Haven
  • Eat. Pray. Love.
  • Remember Me
  • Never Been Kissed
  • About Last Night
  • Think Like A Man 1 & 2
  • My Best Friend’s Wedding
  • Ghost
  • Letters To Juliet
  • Pretty Woman
  • The Notebook

I don’t know about you, but if I tried to make my boyfriend sit and watch The Notebook with me he’d either just fall asleep, or put a series on his laptop with his ear phones in and leave me to it haha! So maybe I’ll save those ones for when I’m with ma gals or I need a good cry.

Anyways, I’ve got my dine in for two complete with Thai fishcakes, rump steaks, so mousse thing for dessert and prosecco so I’m ready to go. What are your plans for valentines day? Do you go all out or like to keep it on the cheap too?
